This month sees Percy Thaver appointed to the position of Industry Executive for Financial Services, as the latest expert to join the SAS Institute staff team.

Joining the team with a postgraduate qualification from Wits Business School, as well as a certificate in Financial Management, and currently completing a BCom degree, Thaver brings to the table strong financial management skills gained from nine years at First National Bank, and a further seven years at Bytes Technology Group.

“Percy is a welcome addition to the SAS team, bringing with him a wealth of experience on financial accounts. He displays a determination and passion for driving revenue and customer satisfaction that has won him the reputation of being an overachiever in the business environment,” says Kevin Kemp, head of sales for the commercial sector at SAS Institute.

During his years at Bytes Technology Group, Thaver worked his way up to strategic accounts manager of the financial services group. He was instrumental in driving revenue potential and was able to exceed his revenue target in his first two years by more than 130%.

Thaver excels as a business solutions provider with advanced skills derived through an intimate knowledge of the banking industry. He has a thorough understanding of banking, commercial and industry law along with top-class management skills.

“I see SAS institute as a highly motivated and rewarding company to work for, it has proven its stability and dedication to providing outstanding analytics solutions. I'm glad to be part of such a winning team,” says Percy Thaver, Industry Executive for Financial Services.
