SAS Institute today announced the availability of SAS/ACCESS interface for R/3, release 2.0, the first in a series of intelligent data warehouse solutions to enable business analysts, initially at SAP AG R/3 user sites, to leverage their organization`s enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications. The intelligent warehouse solutions surface and exploit the critical business information housed in ERP and other operational systems into an open, intelligent business decision-making process. "Business professionals are looking for an easy way to turn data into usable information for intelligent business decisions," said Jim Davis, SAS Institute program manager for Data Warehousing. "They need to access diverse business data, guarantee information integrity and quality, meet and exceed customer expectations, and produce a rapid return on their investment.
