Space Age Technology (SAT) was named a finalist in this year's Technology Top 100 Awards Programme (TT100) as an established organisation.
As a first time entrant, SAT impressed with its strategic vision and leadership, and especially the advances it has made in the development of a remote platform monitoring solution for the dynamic IT needs of the small and medium business market.
Originally designed as a value-added service for SAT's existing clients, with a focus on reducing reactive support and poorly scheduled resources, SATAware was a major success. Its potential as well as the significance of proactive monitoring and operations management services for SMEs nation-wide encouraged SAT to continue the development of this niche service and to expand on its range of features and capabilities.

SAT is one of only 13 finalists from the Western Cape region that were selected to compete in the final round and will, later this month, attend the awards ceremony in Johannesburg where category winners will be announced.
"TT100 is not only a showcase for recognising technology innovation, it also recognises the way companies apply technology to add value and to gain market share."
SATAware combines state of the art technology with industry-proven processes and standards to produce a unique infrastructure monitoring and alerting service.
"While there are similar solutions available, SATAware is unique in that it incorporates a very vital semi-automated human interface which eliminates false and trivial alerts while ensuring more serious issues receive prompt attention."
Although the Cape Winelands is home to this innovative company, SAT is looking forward to the wider adoption of its service and monitoring solution across South Africa. Current affiliations and partnerships with prestigious and recognised Microsoft partners will provide exciting opportunities in the near future.
