Stellenbosch-based IT platform specialist, Space Age Technologies (SAT), proudly announced it has been selected as Partner of the Year for Networking Infrastructure Solutions at the 2007 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.
Seen as the 'Oscars of the IT industry', Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Awards acknowledge best of breed IT providers on the international stage.
The awards ceremony was held on 11 July in Denver, Colorado, in the USA and comprised 42 categories, with companies from around the world competing.
Finalists were chosen from the 600 000-strong Microsoft Partner community and in excess of 1 800 entries were judged.

The Worldwide Partner awards were open to Microsoft Certified and Gold Partners and nominations required extensive insight into the partner's service levels, operational procedures, as well as technical competence.
The Networking Infrastructure Solutions award honours Microsoft partners that have proven proficiency in implementing IT networks based on the Microsoft Windows operating system. SAT has displayed innovation in terms of its SATAware IT services, which have helped its clients build a stronger technological foundation to support their business goals.
SAT has a solid reputation within the small business sector, and is a recognised leader in the field of proactive IT infrastructure management services - in particular the success of its management framework and toolset, SATAware, which is designed to monitor and manage availability; performance; security; and operations parameters of the clients' networks 24/7.
