Saudi Telecom unveils hosted services

Saudi Telecom, a provider of telecommunications in Saudi Arabia, has entered the hosting business, reports Computer Weekly.

Wipro, an Indian outsourcing firm and Cisco partner, will run the centre.

Genpact, Carnation Auto ink outsourcing deal

Genpact, a business process outsourcing firm, has signed a five-year deal with auto sales and service centre Carnation Auto, writes The Economic Times.

According to the deal, Genpact will design and manage Carnation Auto's core processes from finance and accounting, customer relationship management, and supply management and human resources.

"Through this relationship, Carnation will transfer non-core support function activities to Genpact so as to have 100% focus on our core business of helping customers maximise their ownership experience,” says Jagdish Khattar, chairman and MD of Carnation Auto.

UAE central bank monitors outsourcing

The UAE central bank is looking to monitor the outsourcing activities of banks and meet with bank CEOs on a regular basis, states Yahoo Business.

In the UAE, most banks outsource their marketing, sales, IT and call centre operations.

The general feeling towards the involvement of the central bank has been positive, which would supply regular guidelines and advice to the banks.
