Solutions for Business Intelligence (SBi), a subsidiary of ERP.com, today announced SB Image Online, a version of its locally-developed SB Image product that provides Web access to a hosted document management system.
"This version of SB Image was specifically designed for use by insurance brokers, lawyers, doctors and other similar professionals who require the ability to capture and store information/images, without the need to create and manage their own specific systems," commented Tony Nutter, MD of SBi. "Already, SB Image Online is being used by the brokers of one of South Africa's largest and most progressive insurance companies."
SB Image Online incorporates the most recent changes made to the SB Image product such as simple scanning facility and document upload to the Internet, online per-user customisation of the fields used to describe stored documents and easy interface for document retrieval.
The solution is specifically developed to store scanned images; however, it is capable of storing any electronic media, such as Word documents, spreadsheets and so on. The customers are also offered a facility of monthly CD extraction of stored documents for those who have slow Internet connectivity.
