Secure Data, a member of the JSE-listed ERP.com Group, today announced that SC Magazine, one of the leading global IT security publications, has awarded Centennial Discovery Web Edition with its 'Best Buy' award.
This inventory application uses a technology called LANProbe to meter software usage and discover devices on a network. The latest version has a number of new features, including a client capable of deployment to a number of flavours of Unix and Linux (Sun Solaris, HP-UX. RedHat, SuSE). There are also a number of changes to the look and feel of the main console itself.
According to SC Magazine, Centennial Discovery was the easiest to perform of all the products that were in the test. Additionally, the publication also rated the 'console' as 'fantastic' and found that the support for multiple operating systems was among the best that was offered by the products that were compared in this test.
