Scala Business Solutions has achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner accreditation, giving the ERP vendor early access to advanced Microsoft technology and other resources to increase its Microsoft expertise and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Shamik Sinha, CEO of Scala Africa, says the accreditation allows the company to better align Microsoft's technologies with its own product development strategies to meet customers' needs.
"With Microsoft developing core business components and tools, we can focus on what we do best - delivering business-enhancing functionality to businesses across the spectrum - from the SME market through to enterprises. By building solutions on the Microsoft platform, and working closely with Microsoft on various projects, such as the integration between iScala CRM and the Microsoft Office System, we can achieve a better long-term R&D cost structure with improved margins to help us bring more products and functionality to market."
Mark Young, general manager of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Division at Microsoft Corporation, congratulated Scala on achieving Gold Certified Partner status.
"This achievement further demonstrates the success of Scala's commitment to the Microsoft technology platform. The goal of our partner framework is to deliver more of what customers need to be successful, and ISVs like Scala can leverage our programme to deliver substantial business benefits to customers," he says.
The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner programme recognises Microsoft partners who have proven their knowledge and dedication to developing software applications based on Microsoft technology. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners are the top level of Microsoft solutions partners and have access to the tools and support they need to help them stand out in the marketplace. Through the programme, Microsoft gives its valued ISVs early access to new technology and the necessary tools, including beta products, prioritised referrals and advanced technical information, to develop products on its platform.
Sinha concludes: "Our software is designed exclusively to run on the Microsoft platform. We have been committed to Microsoft technology since 1997, while our overall relationship goes back more than 10 years. In this time Scala has adopted many of their technology innovations, adding our own global functionality and connectivity. We believe Gold Certified Partner status enhances our ability to deliver premier ERP solutions to the African markets in which we play."
