Scale for growth with newly released Infor ERP technology

Infor ERP SyteLine upgrade delivers superior productivity and key functional enhancements
Johannesburg, 28 Sep 2006

Softworx, a member of the EOH Group of Companies and master distributor of Infor, one of the largest global providers of enterprise software, recently announced the next release of its widely-deployed Infor ERP SyteLine solution, which includes superior productivity and key functional enhancements designed to allow manufacturers to more effectively manage and grow their businesses globally.

"Together with our partner Infor, we are committed to the continual innovation of industry-specific solutions, providing additional functionality to maximise our customers` investment in technology and to meet the demands of our global economy," comments Jane Thomson, Managing Director, Softworx.

Manufacturers already using Infor ERP SyteLine solution will find that SyteLine 7.05 offers configuration options that improve functionality across a multiple of sites, code validation and optimisation tools. The new enhancements simplify automation, planning and personalisation management.

New users will find that SyteLine 7.05 offers a complete Microsoft .NET-based ERP technology solution with a configurable user interface and multi-site functionality. Supported by and integrated with other Infor software applications for complete coverage of user requirements, SyteLine 7.05 delivers more flexibility, better application integration and improved interoperability compared to alternative mixed-platform solutions - all at a lower total cost of ownership.

SyteLine 7.05 includes improved productivity tools, such as innovative presentation architecture which generates individually tailored screens in real-time. "This means that SyteLine can be personalised for each location, department or individual user, including screen fields, labels, and other `look and feel` options. The result is a reduction in training costs and an increase in employee productivity that leads to improved customer responsiveness and greater efficiency," says Thomson.

Infor`s ERP SyteLine solution enables manufacturers to automate processes, saving production time, and maintaining and extending efficiency gains. With SyteLine, processes can be automated as appropriate for each organisation, even as business models, customers, suppliers and technologies evolve.

"As the manufacturing industry expands globally, the demand for an easy to use and implement ERP solution that simplifies automation and enhances scalability is becoming increasingly important," comments Thomson. "SyteLine 7.05 reflects the ongoing innovation and support to existing products that provide the flexibility to our customers` processes."

From selling and sourcing to production and fulfilment, SyteLine spans the business of manufacturing to align supply with demand and provides the ability to deliver to customers on time, every time. With SyteLine 7.05, manufacturers gain significant opportunity to advance their business success and profit from the deployment of advanced information technology.
