ScanBurst enables documents to be scanned in bulk, and then splits the large batches into logical documents based on either bar code values or a predefined number of pages. This methodology is more efficient than scanning logical documents individually both in terms of time and scanner utilisation.
Some of ScanBurst's features include:
* Definition of multiple job types.
* Define one or more customisable text files, containing meta-data, that can be exported with the split image files for each job type.
* Define one or more customisable data export to an ODBC compliant destination, containing meta-data for each job type.
* Use reserved words in text files that are substituted with values at export time, for example scan date, bar code values, batch pages, document pages etc.
* View thumbnails and manipulate images at splitting image QC stage.
* Processing is performed asynchronously, which means the users can continue to work while the application processes in the background.
* Standalone application - no back-end server required.
* Export of either greyscale and colour documents if scanned in that format.
* Application can accept images from a network device instead of a physical device.
* Allow batches to be reset and recovered.
