Siltek Distribution Dynamics (SDD), the focused IT company in the Siltek IT Supply Chain Group, has expanded its operations to the Mpumalanga region to service its dealer base in the area. The newly opened satellite office in Nelspruit, serves as an extension arm to SDD's operational headquarters in Midrand and distributes SDD's extensive portfolio of products.
Gerhard van Vuuren, general manager of the Nelspruit operation says, "Since the inception in Mpumalanga over three months ago, we have seen a significant increase in monthly sales figures. We project a very aggressive revenue growth for the next financial year and this will enable us to provide more employment opportunities in the area."
The advantages of a distributor based in this region are numerous, explains Van Vuuren. "We are now able to deliver what is promised within the shortest period of time and provide local business with a choice of the latest technology available on the market. This enables them to compete effectively with leading Gauteng-based computer companies.
In addition, the Nelspruit office creates an opportunity for SDD to service our customers in the Mpumalanga region. Many opportunities await the entrepreneur and business is starting to boom with the Maputo Corridor well under way in this area," says Van Vuuren.
"Another advantage is that the provincial government is based in this area which adds to the computer industry's value. They can now purchase all their technology products locally, which in turn, supports the local economy," explains Van Vuuren. He moves on to say that until recently, the Nelspruit area was reported to be the second fastest economic growth area in South Africa.
