SDD/OTG and Workgroup today announced the realignment of their software divisions. This is to sharpen the strategic focus of the businesses in order to increase velocity and enhance their responsiveness to resellers. In terms of the realignment, SDD/OTG will become the group's volume distributor of software whilst Workgroup will enhance its position as the specialist solution software distributor.
Christine Thomson, director of consumable and software at SDD/OTG, explains that this realignment of the software divisions is an important strategic step to providing better-quality services to customers and vendors. "SDD/OTG will focus on Microsoft, IBM/Lotus, Symantec, Corel, Borland and Pastel and Workgroup will distribute Microsoft, IBM/Lotus, Corel, Adobe, Citrix, Goldmine and Novell amongst others," adds Thomson.
"This realignment will definitely have a positive effect on the market and our strong footprint in the local market will be beneficial to all our vendors and resellers and will provide challenging opportunities for our staff," concludes Thomson.
