Seagate Software says Microsoft will include a new version of Crystal Reports in Visual Studio.NET that supports Web Services, Web Forms and Windows Forms within Visual Studio.NET.
"Microsoft and Seagate Software continue to work together to deliver a comprehensive Web development environment," says Inthiaz Cassimjee, country manager of Africa and Middle East for Seagate Software.
"The inclusion of Crystal Reports within Visual Studio.NET represents a critical milestone with Microsoft`s commitment to empowering .NET developers. Crystal Reports` inherent support for the Microsoft .NET Framework provides Visual Studio.NET developers with immediate access to the tools they need to easily build the next generation of enterprise Web applications."
The same version of Crystal Reports has been included in the Visual Studio suite since its first inclusion in Visual Basic in 1993.
"Support of the Microsoft .NET Framework will become a significant factor when developing powerful enterprise applications," says Cassimjee. "Including Crystal Reports with Visual Studio.NET is a major accomplishment for Seagate Software. It will quite likely serve as a catalyst for its quick adoption by the development community"
