Enterprise reporting and analysis software vendor, Seagate Software, has unveiled its new analytic reporting tool, Crystal Analysis Professional.
While still in beta phase, Crystal Analysis Professional provides an organisation`s diverse users with a Web-based, interactive environment to exploit the functionality of multidimensional data sources such as Hyperion Essbase, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, SAP BW and analytical application servers such as Seagate Holos.
"Crystal Analysis Professional enables flexible reporting against OLAP data sources, including the easy creation of analytic reporting applications," says Inthiaz Cassimjee, country manager, Africa and Middle East at Seagate Software.
The next-generation zero-client technology, based on XML and DHTML, ensures the fast, cost-effective, and manageable deployment of highly interactive and easily navigable information to end-users.
"Crystal Analysis Pro is a feature-rich tool that gives users simple analytic reporting and intuitive data visualisation capabilities for critical decision support, all in a timely and accurate manner," he adds, saying that the application will assist users to quickly realise competitive advantage with better, faster decision-making.
Designed as a seamless content creation add-on to the Crystal Enterprise suite, Crystal Analysis Professional allows organisations to manage analytic reporting as part of a mission-critical infrastructure for enterprise reporting and information delivery.
"Combined with Crystal Enterprise, Crystal Analysis Pro offers companies a cost effective reporting and analysis infrastructure," Cassimjee concludes.
