Sears chooses Legiant

Sears Methodist Retirement System has selected Legiant Timecard to automate time and attendance, using biometrics and Web technology, according to BusinessWire.

Legiant Timecard enables employees to capture their time and attendance through a biometric interface.

This system for workforce productivity management and reporting automatically captures and records time and attendance information into human resources and payroll databases.

European HR market booms

The European market for human capital management (HCM) technologies, including applications for e-recruitment and payroll, grew 13% last year and is representing a major growth segment for enterprise software players, according to IDC, reports SiliconRepublic.

The combined HCM and payroll applications market, measured in licences and maintenance, last year reached a value of EUR1.5 billion.

Oracle, Sage and Unit 4 Agresso had double-digit growth in 2006. SAP and Cegid grew by 10%, followed by Northgate, Personec, Personal & Infomatik, and Datev.

TeamSpirit offers online system

TeamSpirit Software has released an online vacancy application system to work in conjunction with its existing recruitment module, reports PayPerShop.

TeamSpirit eApply offers a solution which simplifies the application process by allowing applicants to view and apply for vacancies online.

eApply is capable of being launched from a corporate Web site or intranet, allowing both existing and potential new employees to view and apply for suitable vacancies online.
