On 22 February, Secure Computing acquired Network Associates` Gauntlet firewall and VPN business.
Network Associates selected Secure Computing to acquire the Gauntlet business after a thorough search. Sandra England, executive vice-president of Business Development and Strategic Research at Network Associates, stated that the buyer would need to ensure a seamless support transition for Gauntlet customers worldwide.
Secure Computing kept to this promise and appointed Condyn as its sole distributor for Africa as from 1 October. "Condyn is devoted to the Gauntlet clients in Africa and will support them accordingly," says Jorina van Rensburg, CEO of Condyn.
It is Condyn`s policy to ensure customer satisfaction at all times and to distribute the best breed of security products for Africa. Secure Computing has given its commitment to assisting Gauntlet customers and to build upon Gauntlet and Sidewinder Technologies.
