STEALTHbits Technologies, a leading developer of data and access governance solutions, and SecureData, a value-added distributor of information risk management and network solutions, announced a partnership to offer STEALTHbits' Data & Access Governance solutions to enterprises of all sizes across sub-Saharan Africa.
Earlier this year, it had been announced that STEALTHbits had partnered with Magix Security, an IT risk and security consulting firm serving the South African market. In July of this year, the value-added distribution portion of Magix was acquired by SecureData Africa.
STEALTHbits' Data & Access Governance solutions provide complete visibility into unstructured data, enabling organisations of any size to quickly discover, prioritise, remediate and protect against high-risk access conditions across Active Directory, File Systems, SharePoint, and beyond. With unstructured data expected to increase by more than 600% in the next five years, and the continued concern with high profile and damaging data breaches, organisations can turn to STEALTHbits' solutions for a pragmatic approach to mitigating security risk, by:
* Highlighting and remediating where the greatest levels of risk exist (Open Access Remediation);
* Integration of unstructured data entitlements in existing identity and access management platforms (ISIM, SailPoint, Aveksa, FIM);
* Reducing unstructured data volume through low-level activity analysis (Stale Data Clean-Up); and
* Real-time monitoring and blocking of Active Directory and File System changes, including fine grain administrative user control (change and access monitoring).

"We are very excited about this partnership," says Ed Hand, VP Corporate Strategy for STEALTHbits Technologies. "SecureData boasts local professional services resources, including a help desk, in-house training and certification services and dedicated teams of product specialists, making it an easy decision to partner with them."

"With STEALTHbits' experience in the Data and Access Governance space and with our resources and reach in the African market, this partnership promises to be a lucrative one for both organisations. We have already had a number of parties contact us with regards to this partnership, which is affirmation that our new technology take-on strategy is working," he adds.
