As part of its complete portfolio of Internet products, Verizon provides outsourced email services for organisations demanding a secure and highly available messaging system. Virus scanning, which protects subscribers from computer viruses, trojans, worms and other forms of malicious code and content, will be a standard feature for selected mailbox services packages.

Partners like Verizon use Trend Micro's award-winning InterScan VirusWall Internet gateway virus protection, ScanMail( groupware virus protection and HouseCall( online virus scanning technology to provide a value-added service to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes email hosting services, outsourced email services, managed security services, and web-based services.
