Securicom's innovative e-mail archiving and business continuity solution, MailVault, is app-ready. The company has launched its MailVault app for iPhones and is working to enable applications for iPads and other common mobile device operating systems soon.
The MailVault app for iPhones can be downloaded from the iPhone App Store by iPhone users whose companies are subscribed to Securicom's MailVault service. The app enables them to access their corporate inbox and e-mail archives, as well as send and receive e-mails, from their handheld devices.
"With Securicom's MailVault app for iPhones, users can access and retrieve all their incoming and outgoing corporate e-mails, as well as internal messages, on demand from their iPhones.
"MailVault automatically stores messages entering and exiting the corporate mailbox in the archive where they can be easily accessed from anywhere at any time, making it easy for them to stay connected with their inbox when they're working on the go and even when the e-mail server at work is down," says Securicom's sales manager, Richard Broeke.
Securicom MailVault is an advanced cloud-based e-mail archiving and business continuity solution that provides continuous and any time access to e-mail, and smart capabilities for managing e-mail life cycles.
"Aside from ensuring on-demand access to e-mails, MailVault provides a complete and reliable real-time backup of all electronic communication in a central archive that is equal to housing a fully-redundant system, but without the high cost," says Broeke.
The solution has advanced search capabilities to make it quick and easy to find required information contained in e-mail communication. It is fully hosted in the cloud by Securicom at a secure data centre and delivered as a managed service. Company administrators have a dedicated Web-based console from where they can monitor usage and manage the system.
Subscribing companies' users have two other convenient ways to access the MailVault archive. They can either use the secure online interface using any Internet-enabled device, or the MailVault Plug In, which is designed to look and feel exactly like the e-mail system users are accustomed to using.
Working from their inboxes and then shifting to MailVault Continuity in the event of a server failure is seamless with the MailVault Plug In. Users feel as though they are working within and from their normal e-mail client such as Outlook.
