Selectica CEO resigns
Selectica, a provider of enterprise contract lifecycle management and sales configuration solutions, is restructuring with the aim to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and better align expenses with revenues, says CNNMoney.com.
In conjunction with the restructuring, Robert Jurkowski has resigned as chairman and CEO and will no longer serve as a member of Selectica's board of directors.
Effective immediately, Selectica board members James Thanos and Brenda Zawatski will serve as co-chairs of the board and will be actively involved in the company's business until a successor CEO is named.
Scharfen wants electronic
Jonathan "Jock" Scharfen, acting head of US Citizenship and Immigration Services, talked with reporters this week in Atlanta about the challenges his agency faces and what he hopes to accomplish during his remaining seven months on the job, reports ajc.com.
"We will want to make sure we have a good contract management team in place for that. We will be talking to both [presidential] campaigns to make sure they know about that contract.
"And we want to make sure that's in good shape, so when the new administration comes in, we're up and running and that contract is on the right track."
District seeks executive director
Acting executive director Kimberly Morton announced that the Estuary Transit District is advertising this month for a permanent executive director, writes courant.com.
R'esum'es from individuals and written proposals from contract management firms are being accepted through to 15 August.
The board of directors is expected to make a decision on the executive director position by September.
