SensePost Information Security, a SecureData division, will present a paper and hold training sessions at the Black Hat USA Briefings and Training.

The event will be held from 2 to 7 August in Las Vegas, USA.

This will be the seventh year SensePost will present at the technical security conference.

Charl van der Walt, director of service delivery at SensePost, says: "It is an honour for us to once again be accepted to train and present at the Black Hat conference alongside some of the leading lights of the international information security industry."

Haroon Meer, technical director of SensePost, and Marco Slaviero, a SensePost associate, will present a paper titled "Pushing the Camel through the Eye of a Needle" at Black Hat USA. The presentation will focus on the sophisticated techniques that hackers can use to breach the secondary layers of a corporate network's defences, once they have gained a foothold at the perimeter of the network.

More than 200 people are expected to attend SensePost's "Hacking By Numbers" training course at Black Hat. This training course is an introduction to the art and science of computer hacking that equips attendees with background information, technical skills and basic concepts around hacking.

This includes some coding and scripting, networking and Internet technologies, basic methodologies, essential thinking skills, tools and current hacking techniques.
