Johannesburg, 18 Dec 2006

Sentech will be providing the downlink for a special broadcast of events around the country on the Day of Reconciliation on 16 December 2006. The broadcast facility is to be established at the Pildige Stadium, Freedom Park, Salvokop, Pretoria where a full programme of activities will take place.

The programme includes an address by President Thabo Mbeki and performances by the traditional Xitsonga, Setsotho, Hindu, and Afrikaans dance groups.

Some of SA's top entertainers and musicians will entertain guests who can expect the likes of Karin Zoid, Danny K, Mandoza, Mafikizola and Malaika to demonstrate the spirit of reconciliation through music.

The Day of Reconciliation is a celebrated to foster reconciliation between different racial groups and has been in existence since 1994, the year that marked the end of Apartheid.

"Sentech is proud to be participating in this event as it is an opportunity to show our support for racial equality and tolerance and a wholly integrated SA," says Pranill Ramchander Sentech's Portfolio Manager: Corporate Communications.
