Sentech confirms that some of its subscribers were unable to log in to its MyWireless network this morning.
"The problem was identified on the Metro (Randburg) tower in the early hours of this morning, affecting four other base stations connected to it. As a result, no users were able to connect to this tower. The problem was resolved at 8.30am this morning," explains Sentech spokesman Pranill Ramchander.
"The number of affected users is unknown, but we are aware that users were unable to authenticate." The company's technicians are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible, he says.
An irate caller complained to ITWeb that this is the second time his service has been disrupted this week, and that his business has been affected.
"We have received a huge amount of calls this morning and we are attending to the calls as best as we can," a Sentech customer service attendant explains.
