Serena Software, distributed by Bytes Business Solutions in southern Africa, has announced the availability of TeamTrack 5.8, the latest release of its newly acquired process management technology.
This new version offers support for the Unix platform and features enhancements that enable customers to synchronise business and IT processes, therefore, achieving higher return on investment across the enterprise.
TeamTrack 5.8 marks the first product release since Serena Software completed its acquisition of TeamShare in June.
Serena TeamTrack has always been accessible through any Web browser and deployed using a database running on a wide range of platforms, but with the improvements built into the latest version, customers can now deploy the solution on a Unix Web server as well.
This capability gives customers the flexibility to choose a server platform that best suits their needs and requirements plus enables them to integrate TeamTrack with a broader range of enterprise applications.
"The release of TeamTrack 5.8 is a significant step in the evolution of the product line and represents the continuous importance we place on delivering cross-platform support," explained Justin Arnoldi, SCM Product Manager for Bytes Business Solutions.
"We want customers to be assured that the acquisition will have a positive impact on their business, and that Serena is committed to this technology for the long haul."
Serena will continue to develop and improve TeamTrack as an enterprise-class solution for automating business processes and management throughout the software lifecycle.
