Sub-Saharan network security expert, AfricaSD, is pleased to announce that customers who download its GFI MailEssentials trial will still be able to add server level disclaimers to the top or bottom of all e-mails, even after the trial period has expired.
GFI is offering a server level disclaimer tool for free with its trial version of its anti-spam solution, GFI MailEssentials. Customers who download the GFI MailEssentials trial version from the AfricaSD Web site will still be able to use the disclaimer tool after the trial version has expired.
The GFI MailEssentials disclaimer tool enables users to add disclaimers to the top or bottom of an e-mail at server level. Text and HTML formats are supported and administrators can include fields and variables to personalise the disclaimer. They can even create multiple disclaimers and associate them with a user, group or domain. When the trial version of GFI MailEssentials expires, the disclaimer tool will not, allowing continued use of this functionality.
This move forms part of the GFI Software's 'We Care' initiative, which has launched other free versions of GFI's software.
“AfricaSD applauds GFI for its 'We Care' initiative and the recent addition of the free disclaimer tool to its GFI MailEssentials offering,” says Hennie Moolman, Managing Director of AfricaSD. “As distributors for the GFI range of products, we recognise the need for co-operative business partnerships in these trying economic times, and 'We Care' addresses the need for affordable software solutions.
“Freeware demonstrates both goodwill on the part of the software supplier and an understanding of the real requirements of the end-users. Likewise, it demonstrates, in an objective way, the capabilities of the software at no cost to the end-user. It is a positive gain for both parties, a benefit GFI recognises,” says Moolman.
In addition to the disclaimer tool, the latest version of GFI MailEssentials also ships with Unicode support, ensuring MailEssentials supports the industry standard for universal character encoding. This update allows GFI MailEssentials to process e-mails in any language, and ensures that all characters are rendered properly.
The software is also now available in Russian, Spanish, Italian and German. Localisation gives users the ability to install and run GFI MailEssentials in their native language.
Scan performance in GFI MailEssentials has also been improved, thanks to the introduction of parallel DNS Blacklist processing and by offloading the product's anti-spam actions to a separate process. Usability has also been further enhanced through various updates in the user configuration.
