The methodology, developed by the IDEAlliance, enables different proofers, screen presses and printers to produce a similar appearance regardless of substrate, line count, ink type or printing condition.

“G7 eliminates the guessing of what colour should be adjusted during the setup procedure,” says Ralph Rhein, VP of operations, Duracolor.

Fujifilm unveils flatbed printer

Fujifilm has unveiled the Acuity Advance HS-X2 wide format UV inkjet printer, reveals What They Think.

The X2 uses a dual zoning system with an independent vacuum control, which allows the printing of an image in one zone while setting up another image in the second. This allows continual printing that increases the throughput.

"The Acuity Advance HS-X2 has an impressive print area of 98-inches by 120-inches, which is more than double the size of the Acuity Advance HS," says Jeffrey Nelson, product marketing manager, Fujifilm.
