Shaking and moving

Johannesburg, 22 May 2012

On 1 April 2012, VINTONET Communications launched its Western Cape subsidiary: VINTONET Western Cape.

Using its Gauteng tried and tested format of consultative sales processes and quality assured installation methods, VINTONET, together with its newly appointed Managing Director and co-shareholder, Moegamat Reddy, a born-and-bred Capetonian, is poised to strike deep at the established core of converged communications business markets by unleashing its brand of technical expertise, community awareness programmes and entrepreneurial yes-we-can innovation.

VINTONET Western Cape (WC) will be using its technical skills and the Alcatel-Lucent business partnership to further its voice and data portfolios into Western Cape.

The Alcatel-Lucent backing will also assist VINTONET WC with its future strides into the hospitality industry, where the world-renowned Alcatel-Lucent 8082 MyIC Phone coupled with the OmniPCX Server and POE Data Switches will be offered as the primary technological contribution.

And as an MWEB wholesale partner, value-added products will be offered where telecommunications costs through the use of SIP connectivity are minimised. Included in the package are ADSL and Leased Lines offerings.

When questioned as to why the expansion into the Western Cape region, VINTONET's CEO, Johan Nel, responded: “I couldn't have wished for a better leader in Moegamat Reddy to drive the VINTONET business philosophy into the Western Cape. It is a region filled with much opportunity.

“In Moegamat we have both a sound strategist and a formidable technical engineer. His sound understanding of the Western Cape business markets, especially those associated with hospitality, makes him a force to be reckoned with. I couldn't be happier.”

A beaming Reddy added: “My future vision is to use my knowledge of the Western Cape to grow the VINTONET business formula to new highlights and successes. Recently I helped land an international contract in Zambia, a feat that gives me the conviction that our venture into Western Cape will be a successful one. I look forward to tackling the challenges and successes that lie ahead.”

Nel further stated that his next step is to launch a VINTONET subsidiary in KwaZulu-Natal within the next 18 months.
