SharedPlan upgrades PMn

SharedPlan Software has released version 5.0 of its project management solution, SharedPlan Professional, according to PRWeb.

Existing project management applications require users to choose between a tool for Mac OS X, Windows or the Web. SharedPlan tools are available on either operating system, online, or a combination of all three.

Improvements to SharedPlan Professional 5.0 delivers a number of new capabilities for improved team collaboration and simplified planning of large projects, including improved cost management, resource management and e-mail , an improved task information editor and a new resource chart.

Clarizen integrates with Outlook

Clarizen, a provider of on-demand, online project management software, has integrated with Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to create and assign tasks, set task deadlines or update the status of a task directly from their e-mail, says Business Wire.

This development builds on Clarizen's effort to make project management solutions intuitive and easy to use for everyday professionals.

By uniting Clarizen and Microsoft Outlook environments, managers do not have to switch from their primary e-mail to a project management system in order to assign new tasks or get project updates. This capability significantly decreases the resource and time requirements for entering new project activities and for keeping the project status current.

OpenAir enhances EVM solution

NetSuite's OpenAir subsidiary has added a set of enhancements to its earned value management solution, reports TMCnet.

Morris Panner, OpenAir's CEO, said monitoring project health and improving prioritisation are key to project success for the services and technology industry.

“We expect that our customers, especially government contractors, will enjoy tremendous benefits by gaining a more granular understanding of project investment versus benefit, as well as by being able to better prioritise scarce resources,” said Panner.
