SharePoint site supports collaboration

Corridor Consulting and Doculabs have teamed up to unveil SharePointGovernance.org, a Web site for information around the Microsoft SharePoint product for enterprise content management (ECM), reports PRWeb.

The not-for-profit site serves as a free exchange for IT professionals and end-users who deal with SharePoint day in and day out, in real-world situations.

The site provides an opportunity for Fortune 5000 companies to compare what works and what doesn't for the of SharePoint implementations.

Vignette to roll out ECM solution

Global software provider Vignette has revealed plans to release Vignette Content Management 8.0 in the second half of this year, says PRWire.

VCM 8.0, a cornerstone of the Vignette Web Experience foundation, empowers marketers and business users to manage media-rich, global Web applications through an intuitive user interface.

The company says the solution relives IT of basic Web responsibilities, and includes productivity-enhancing capabilities such as personalised toolbars, favourite shortcuts and workspaces that recall user preferences.

Alfresco unveils open source ECM

Alfresco Software, an open source ECM provider, has released the open source Alfresco Community Edition 3.2 solution, states Integrated Solutions.

Alfresco Community 3.2 enables mobile content management, streamlines e-mail management and supports open standards such as content management interoperability services (CMIS) and Internet message access protocol.
