Sharp Middle East this week announced its new local distribution partnership, for its visual solutions business, with Stage Audio Works.
The announcement was made at the unveiling of Sharp's 90-inch professional LED display. In terms of the partnership, Stage Audio Works will distribute Sharp Professional Displays throughout the commercial and technology markets across sub-Saharan Africa.
Stage Audio Works will also offer a complete demonstration and service facility to promote Sharp's visual solutions business.
"There is a growing demand for versatile LED displays in the region," said Tomoo Shimizu, director of the Business Solutions Division at Sharp Middle East.
"Stage Audio Works is the ideal partner to give South Africa a first look at our upcoming products within our visual business portfolio, and how these can add value while being easily integrated into a company's existing set-up."
The new ultra-large screens slot into the company's existing line-up of LED displays, with the 90-inch LED screen topping the line-up. The full range of large LED LCD screens span from 60 inches up to the 108-inch display.
A new 19.5-inch touch monitor that utilises Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system to combine with a 10-point touch-screen function was also showcased.
"Partnering with Sharp can only guarantee exciting developments for the future as touch and display technologies evolve," says Will Deysel, MD of Stage Audio Works.
The 90-inch professional LED display will be available in SA in March 2013.
