Shell and Texaco alliance licence over 1m performance management software

Johannesburg, 21 Jun 2001

Microsoft Partner INPHASE Software, the British author of PerformancePlus Enterprise Performance Management and Balanced Scorecard Software, today announced a highly competitive software application win worth in excess of US$1million.

Equilon Enterprises LLC the Houston, Texas based joint venture of Shell Oil Company and Texaco Inc have gone live with the first wave of users in a 1,000 user roll-out of PerformancePlus within Equilon Pipeline, which manages over 9 million barrels a day of crude and refined products for the alliance.

PerformancePlus is a fully-web-based application powered by Microsoft SQL Server which competes as a `best of breed` offering in the burgeoning EPM and Balanced Scorecard market against SAP`s own module, and the likes of Oracle, SAS, Gentia, Hyperion and CorVu.

PerformancePlus includes a portal plug-in for mySAP enabling access through a personalised mySAP work environment, with fast, easy and convenient web based access to all of the internal and external business applications required by a user to get their job done well.

PerformancePlus integrates with organisation`s key operational systems, including SAP R3, BW Business Information Warehouse and Siebel CRM, for data, and uniquely combines this performance data with objectives mapping, at strategy and cascaded deployment levels, targets and scenarios to better represent and manage the cause-and-effect drivers of success.

Robert Hobbs, Chief Executive Officer, INPHASE "Although we are a much smaller software company than many of our competitors in this market, we have the advantage that we are totally specialised in Performance Management, and have developed what we, and many independent reviewers consider to be the world`s leading packaged application in this market. Together with our globally represented Accredited Implementers, including Accenture, we are able to beat even the biggest software competitors in what has recently become a very `hot` market space."
