Following the success of Enterprise 2001, held in September last year, Cognos has announced it will hold its Enterprise 2002 User Group, at Helderfontein Conference Centre on 23 October 2002.
Running with the theme of speed and high performance in the new economy, the Cognos International User Group is a worldwide initiative for Cognos users, aimed at promoting the sharing of experiences, insight and knowledge about Cognos technologies for the professional enrichment of its members.
"Successful companies use Cognos BI to make the best decisions for their business," says Tharina van der Merwe, communications manager at Cognos SA. "Cognos Enterprise 2002 will show how Cognos Series 7, its complete, integrated offering that includes reporting, analysis, ad hoc query, scorecarding, visualisation, and data mart creation, is boosting the performance of organisations everywhere."
She says the day will be packed with insight into the latest developments on the business intelligence front and advice from international and local Cognos senior management and product development team. "They will demonstrate how BI manages and maximises corporate business performance. In addition, delegates can utilise free consultancy surgeries and training tasters that will be running throughout the day."
She says that attendees can expect to hear the latest on new business intelligence trends and technologies, tips and techniques, software compatibility and troubleshooting.
"User Group events are meetings of like minds," she continues. "To share information and keep abreast of current and future developments in Cognos technology, attendees will be able to see how other businesses are using business intelligence solutions, what problems they have faced and how they have overcome them.
"Whatever a users challenges or opportunities, Enterprise 2002 will offer powerful ways to get the information and insight needed to thrive in an uncertain economic environment," concludes Van der Merwe.
