Shoden Data Systems has appointed Venture Communications as a value-added reseller (VAR) of its Hitachi, Fujitsu-Siemens and McData products.
Fanie Van Rensburg, MD of Shoden Data Systems, explains that the company was selected based on its footprint throughout the Africa continent. "Venture Communications has an established service, support and marketing presence in Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Kenya, Mozambique and Chad and is operational throughout the whole continent."
Stiaan Engelbrecht, sales director at Venture Communications, adds: "This appointment enables us to leverage the expertise and experience of Shoden Data Systems, as well as expand our business offering to further fulfil the needs of existing and new customers."
Under the new agreement, Venture Communications plans to address customers in the banking, aviation, government and telecoms sectors.
