Technology rental company, RentWorks, has launched a short-term rental offering of computer and other office equipment to complement its rental finance solutions traditionally aimed at corporates.
"The new offering is aimed at supplying equipment for conferences, exhibitions, training sessions, and other short-term projects," says Peter Rowley, RentWorks supply chain division GM.
The move is part of a strategy to maintain existing customers by adding the capacity to meet short-term needs as well as break into new markets by making technology rental more accessible to smaller companies.
"Big customers also have short-term needs over periods of increased workload or disaster recovery," says Rowley. "By providing a short-term rental option, RentWorks is truly a one-stop facility."
Rowley says the launch follows a process of capacity building within RentWorks to deliver, maintain and insure equipment on a short-term basis to tap into and promote maturity in the market.
"Hopefully this will be good for the industry because it gives companies the opportunity to go to a well-established rental company and experience the benefits of rental without having to sign a long-term contract," says Rowley.
