Siemens avails UC Suite 2011

Siemens Enterprise Communications has released its OpenScape unified communications (UC) Suite 2011, reports TMCnet.

According to company officials, the OpenScape UC Suite encompasses a comprehensive set of collaboration, mobility, video and other tools that are capable of securely and reliably delivering better productivity besides giving significant cost savings to enterprises.

The OpenScape UC Suite includes the new OpenScape Web Collaboration, an enterprise-grade Web conferencing solution that offers multimedia collaboration for enhancing productivity, and reducing communication costs.

L&T Infotech IBM

Larsen & Toubro Infotech (L&T Infotech), an IT services provider, has revealed a partnership with IBM in the business process management (BPM) space, using its WebSphere Lombardi Suite of products, reveals IT News Online.

Through this partnership, L&T Infotech and IBM aim to offer BPM solutions including business process modelling, implementation, integration solutions and services to its clientele.

Leveraging Lombardi, L&T Infotech is unveiling customisable BPM solutions in the areas of and financial services like corporate loans, 'know your customer', credit card issuance, accounts payable and insurance (claims processing, underwriter workflow).

Oracle intros private cloud architecture

Oracle has revealed the next move in its program to integrate its hardware and software assets, with the introduction of Oracle Private Cloud Architecture, states Computer World UK.

Oracle has rolled out the architecture as a general platform for a variety of cloud environments, along with three specific implementations, Exadata, Exalogic and the new Sunrise Supercluster, as proof points for the architecture.

Exadata has been dealt with extensively in other venues, both inside Forrester and externally and appears to deliver the goods for I&O groups who require efficient consolidation and maximum performance from an Oracle database environment.
