Siemens streamlines radiology workflow

Healthcare has introduced two new cloud-based solutions to optimise image management and radiology workflow, Pharmaceutical Business Review reports.

The solutions will be hosted from the Siemens Healthcare Cloud Computing Center (HCCC), in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Diagnostic Imaging says Siemens will deliver a cloud-based, vendor-neutral image-sharing and archiving solution, using Dell's Unified Clinical Archive management software.

Dell will manage the ingestion of imaging and clinical data into the archives and provide disaster recovery backup in its secure data centres.

With Siemens ISA, healthcare organisations can reduce ongoing capital expenditure that is typically incurred from the maintenance of local, on-site image archiving hardware, Market Watch states.
