Silico delivers cloud-based quality framework
The subscription-based model of the Silico QMS Instant Application Framework delivers the software through the Internet, which, the company says, simplifies the start-up process and relieves the IT department from having to maintain servers and backups, as well as other technical requirements.
Silico rolled out its QMS Instant Application Framework last year. Using Web-based templates, the framework is said to transition quality management from software that relies on databases, menus, and screens into BPM workflows that can support the ERP, MES, and PLM applications that are building quality into their own core capabilities.
According to John M Cachat, president and CEO of Silico the QMS Instant Application Platform provides a robust technology that allows customers to modify Web forms, create workflows, and generate reports without traditional programming, states Add PR.com.
“The platform is not limited to just QMS and can be used for any business process. Any spreadsheet or Access database can be easily replaced with a flexible, secured, multi-user tool,” says Cachat. The QMS Instant Application Framework allows users to automate business and human workflow processes to create software solutions that meet their needs.
TCMnet says the company's business process management (BPM) services include state-of-the-art technology for rapid solution development.
Silico rolled out the new software to aid compliance with AS9100 Revision C. Any supplier looking to obtain quality management certification, in order to do business in the aerospace and defence industries, will be required to meet the new AS9100C requirements.
Companies currently doing business with the aerospace and defence industry that is certified to AS9100 will have to re-certify to AS9100C.
The company demonstrated the new technology platform on 11 January during a live webinar. Soon after the webinar, Cachat received several calls from large and small companies asking for software to help manage these requirements.
