Newly-founded Web and mobile development agency, We Are Monsters (WAM), is entering into a partnership with tech investor Silvertree Internet Holdings.
We Are Monsters will be Silvertree's preferred Web and mobile development provider for its portfolio, and will receive growth capital from Silvertree.
"We're incredibly excited to be working with the We Are Monsters team as our preferred developers, as they have top-of-the-range technical expertise, deep interest in building businesses, and an incredible, young culture," says Silvertree director Paul Cook.
Silvertree's money is behind the success of e-commerce businesses like Faithful to Nature, Cybercellar and WineCo, as well as financial services comparison Web site Click n Compare.
"We will be working with many of the most exciting companies in South Africa ? and the rest of the continent ? on ground-breaking and innovative projects," says WAM co-founder Pieter van Reenen.
"This partnership with Silvertree gives us a chance to really showcase our ability. To create not just great Web sites and apps, but also top-class digital marketing."
Van Reenen and co-founder Stephan Steynfaardt together have a combined 20 years of development experience in the IT security and digital marketing environment.
After three months of business, WAM has acquired Ogilvy and Gorilla Media as clients for a number of online commerce projects.
