Simply the best

Johannesburg, 24 Mar 2004

Intervate, nVisionIT and 3fifteen have partnered with Internet Solutions to create a powerhouse in the fast-growing applications space.

The strategic decision made by Internet Solutions (IS) to move into networking means the company is poised to offer clients a range of solutions over and above its current access and hosting expertise. IS Business Gateway, the division within IS responsible for developing applications solutions, recently signed a number of strategic alliances that boost the company`s abilities and strengthen IS`s position in this rapidly growing segment of the IT market.

Alison Vorster, Business Gateway Unit Manager, has systematically been seeking partners that are best suited to fast-tracking their growth in the sector. "We are highly selective when it comes to partnering and frankly will only consider those that share the IS philosophy of best of breed. This way we can ensure that our clients receive a full spectrum of expertise from infrastructure to development and matching the high standards that we set for ourselves."

Recent strategic partnerships include alliances with software developer and solution provider Intervate, business solutions provider nVisionIT and 3fifteen, the Microsoft applications solutions development company in the Dimension Data Group. This in addition to IS`s highly successful relationship with IT giant Microsoft.

Rodney Barrell, executive director of Intervate, a software developer that focuses on the delivery of intranet, extranet and portal technology solutions, comments on Intervate`s relationship with IS: "We are delighted to be working with IS as a Business Gateway development partner. Having been an official EMEA launch partner for the new MS office system late last year, the MS collaborative application space, particularly around Sharepoint Portal Server and related technologies, is an area that Intervate understands particularly well. We see our focused capability in this regard as adding tremendous value to IS`s offering."

Graham van Zijl, Managing Director of nVisionIT, describes the company`s partnering with Business Gateway as a combination of IS`s application infrastructure provisioning capabilities with nVisionIT`s business solutions development skills on the Microsoft platform in delivering flexible solutions in an ASP model.

"nVisionIT have proven capability in the ASP environment and contribute to the partnership utilising our development and application integration skills." says Van Zijl. "In addition, nVisionIT`s Microsoft Business Solutions accreditation on Great Plains and MSCRM will assist in providing integrated solutions using these applications."

3fifteen director, Ian Burgess, is enthusiastic about this company`s involvement in IS Business Gateway. "3fifteen`s technical competency around the entire Microsoft portfolio - including .Net and Web services - is widely respected and we have successfully used this expertise to develop, implement and maintain customised applications that are then hosted on the IS Business Gateway infrastructure for clients like Edcon," he explains.

"We will continue to look for alliance partners that bring real value to our customers," says Vorster. "We are delighted to partner with specialist companies such as these to offer our customers the best of breed from infrastructure to development expertise."
