The State IT Agency (SITA) has awarded its enterprise resource planning (ERP) tender to Oracle partner, New Dawn Technologies.
SITA CIO Vusi Magagula is on record as saying that having the best ERP system is an important part of his plans to transform SITA into a model organisation, which includes streamlining and centralising business processes.
The tender award to New Dawn Technologies is to supply Oracle`s e-business suite, comprising modules for financials, human resources, payroll, project management and supply chain management.
Kelvin Reynolds, Oracle SA MD, says the tender award is like a dream come true, considering Oracle`s involvement in government in other parts of Africa. "We hope that it is the start of a new partnership with the South African government," he says.
