The State IT Agency (SITA) has awarded two multi million Rand, LAN & WAN tenders, each for the duration of three years.
The Local Area Network (LAN) tender has been awarded to Arivia.kom (Pty) Ltd for the supply of hardware maintenance, support services as well as computer related peripheral equipment. The Wide Area Network (WAN) tender was awarded to Gijima Technologies (Pty) Ltd, for the supply and maintenance of routing and associated Wide Area Network (WAN) equipment.
Both Arivia.kom and Gijima Technologies have undertaken to subcontract a substantial percentage of the contracts to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI's) as well as SMME's throughout South Africa. The parties have also contracted to develop, transfer skills and create sustainable jobs for the PDI's.
These tenders were previously managed by Comparex Africa for the last ten years.
