SITA Western Cape scores again

The Western Cape office of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) recently completed a project aimed at enabling the provincial administration of the Western Cape to computerise all its business processes.

According to William Andriaanse of the provincial administration of the Western Cape, e-Works has added to the current workload. "But if it is managed well, it will become a major tool in the day to day activities and functions of Public Works."

When completed, the project, called e-Works, will have the following functions, among others:

* Property register;

* Project management;

* Complaint facility;

* Expenditure control;

* Resources register;

* Reference links; and

* Security management.
