Siyabonga Madyibi, Internet Solutions` senior regulatory officer (SRO), has been appointed to the company`s executive committee (exco).
"Since Siya joined us last year, he has played an ever-increasing strategic role in our business direction," says CEO Angus MacRobert.
"His extensive experience and knowledge of the regulatory landscape and its players has been invaluable and has assisted in our strategic convergence plans. We are delighted to welcome him to the executive committee team."
Prior to his appointment at IS, Madyibi was the public policy and interconnection senior regulatory advisor at MTN and before that worked for the regulatory body, ICASA, for five years. One of his responsibilities at ICASA was to lead a team that managed the entire licensing process of the second national operator.
