Skelta releases BPM.NET 2006
Skelta Software has introduced Skelta BPM.NET 2006, the next generation of its business performance management (BPM) and workflow automation software.
The release, code-named "Mars", features BPM functionality for human workflow services, support for multiple channels and forms for task delivery and execution.
It has calendar options, a revamped process designer with a Visio-like look and feel, business activity monitoring capabilities, queue support with out-of-the-box and user configurable dispatch patterns, and closer integration with Microsoft Office.
Performance starts with the user experience
Most well-executed BPM initiatives start with confirming the business requirements are clearly defined on paper, reports Business Intelligence Network.
Parallel to defining requirements, project leaders need to assure that the end-user experience is high on the priority list.
Delivering a positive user experience requires selection of a technology platform that aligns with business needs, not the other way around.
Company success means leveraging process change
Describing how a company runs its business usually involves describing its business processes. Such processes may include managing supply chains, product lifecycles, customer lifecycles, human resources, and accounting and finance.
These processes often represent a company`s intellectual property, competitive differentiators and major innovations. As business conditions change, these processes need to be changed as well.
According to Grid Today, to be better positioned for success, companies need to quickly leverage these process changes, which include changing the underlying IT systems.
