Skycall, a leading VOIP and data specialist, has announced it is to roll out 15 branches nationwide to provide better local support and services to its growing client base - which is currently doubling each month. We have recently adjusted our call rates downwards to ensure we stay competitive on the one hand, and on the other, to pass the saving benefits on to our clients.
Where it comes to communications solutions, Skycall firmly believes VOIP should not just be considered as a cheaper alternative, but rather because of the total benefits this technology offers the end-user. For example, Skycall is able to deliver data and voice solutions where no ADSL is available.
Having had experience in building WiFi Networks, Skycall does not recommend the use of VOIP over WiFi networks (for quality of service reasons) and until such time wireless spectrum is properly regulated.
The first branch has been opened in Polokwane, and will be operational by the end of May. The Cape Town branch will also be operational at the end of May, and Pretoria at the end of June.
Established in 2005, Skycall is now in a “strong commercialisation phase”, said Pieter Botha, Operations Director of the company.
“We have spent the last few years getting our products and services side of the business ready - focusing on delivery of holistic communications solutions to cater for clients from home users to SOHO and SMEs.
We are now in a position to fast-track our branch roll-out to provide better regional support to our growing customer base. Also, having received our ICASA national network licence, we felt the time is now ready.
He said the company's success is based on its client approach, providing total communications solutions, excellent support and after sales service.
We have sufficient private financial backing to fund growth and expansion. Our plan is to grow our business organically rather then by acquisition.
Botha said the reseller network will be expanded to take Skycall's service offerings to the market at large. “The first phase will see resellers appointed in the Gauteng, Polokwane and Cape Town regions - and thereafter all other provinces. Resellers are properly trained, supported, and enabled to earn above average income through their association with us.”
It is anticipated that the 15 branches will all be operational by the end of 2010.
