Small and medium enterprises using Microsoft can now build fully functional sell-side e-business solution without a massive technology re-investment. PQ Mainstream has announced that Geac`s supply chain management solution, StreamLine, has been extended to provide new e-Commerce capabilities for Small Medium Enterprise (SME) manufacturers and distributors. StreamLine provides a fully automated web-based order entry system, including the generation of immediate order acknowledgements and expected delivery dates.
"The system has been designed with an SME`s security in mind, utilising technologies from Microsoft such as BizTalk 2000 and Internet Information Server," says PQ Mainstream divisional manager Brian Gerber. "This partnership with Microsoft means that SMEs can turn to Geac for a complete package and the managed service enables us to design, host and maintain an SME`s e-Commerce operations - thereby reducing costs and enabling them to concentrate on core capabilities."
