Smart Modular adopts LION suite
Smart Modular Technologies, an independent manufacturer of memory modules and solid-state storage products, has deployed Serus' Lean Inventory Optimisation Network (LION) solution, to manage operations supporting multiple contract manufacturing customers, says TMCnet.
"Global supply chain operations are key to business, so it is imperative that we have real-time data that helps aid in the process of making critical decisions," says Alan Marten, senior vice-president and GM of Smart Modular's Memory Business Unit.
"That's where LION comes in. Ultimately, these decisions benefit customers. Our deployment of the Serus' LION suite not only enhances what we believe is an IT infrastructure to better serve customers, but it also helps us maintain overall operational excellence."
Q-Tech installs wafer-level camera set
Q-Technology, manufacturer of compact camera modules, has installed a full SUSS equipment set at Q-Tech's facility in China, says Euroinvestor. SUSS MicroTec supplies process and test solutions for the semiconductor industry.
The 200mm mask and bond aligner, spin and spray coaters and wafer bond systems are utilised for Q-Tech's wafer-level camera manufacturing services.
With this project SUSS MicroTec expands its activities as an equipment supplier supporting image sensor packaging and wafer-level camera manufacturing processes.
Parity Solutions plans info management jobs
Parity Solutions, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is set to develop innovative information management solutions, and create over 90 jobs at the same time, reports 4NI.
Stormont enterprise minister, Arlene Foster, says Parity Solutions is to establish a sophisticated 'Microsoft Centre of Excellence' in Belfast.
Based on the Microsoft Platform for Public and Private Sector Organisations, and with over £630 000 (R7.6 million) of support from Invest Northern Ireland, Parity Solutions plans to create up to 94 highly skilled software development and consultancy positions by 2012.
