Blue Catalyst, Blue IQ Investment Holding's entrepreneurial and commercial innovation initiative, has become fully video-enabled in order to assist innovative entrepreneurs access investment, mentorship and markets.
Blue Catalyst is a network of mentors, advisors and financiers who engage with innovative entrepreneurs and help them take their smart ideas and innovations to market.
Innovative entrepreneurs are now able to create and upload short video clips of their Smart Ideas. The uploaded videos, or "elevator pitches" will bring life to innovative concepts and revolutionise the way Smart Ideas are presented to the Blue Catalyst Network.
Additionally, Smart Assistance videos will be hosted on the portal to assist entrepreneurs and innovators to successfully commercialise their concepts and grow their businesses. Further, Blue Catalyst Network members may upload "profile" videos that are embedded in their network profiles.
"We knew we had to bring a higher level of excitement to the presentation of Smart Ideas and a more interactive, richer experience to the Smart Assistance sections of the portal. The complete integration of video throughout the Blue Catalyst portal and the networking engine, including profiles, will provide network members the opportunity to communicate with the mentor and investor community in a way that is far superior to two-dimensional text," says Brian Carl Brown, Chief Operating Officer of Blue Catalyst.
"We will be the 'YouTube' of innovative entrepreneurs and those who wish to assist and fund Smart Ideas to full commercial success. To view and upload videos on the Smart Stars video section of the Blue Catalyst Portal, register and logon to the Blue Catalyst Portal (www.bluecatalyst.co.za) and choose the top line menu item "Smart Stars".
There are some initial videos uploaded and Blue Catalyst invites you to upload your videos for your Smart Idea, a tutorial you think would benefit the Blue Catalyst community or a profile video to further enhance your presence on the network.
