The Independent Communications Authority of SA (ICASA) will make public the consultants` report on the 51% equity stake of the second national operator (SNO) at 3pm today, which could give an indication of which consortium is likely to be awarded the licence.
The report is expected to contain an analysis of each application, setting out the strengths and weaknesses of each, and the extent to which the applicants comply with the various requirements, as set out by the regulator.
The report will be opened for public inspection and comments are expected by 19 August 2003. A copy of the report may be accessed from ICASA`s Web site, or obtained from its library at Block D, Pinmill Farm, 164 Katherine Street, Sandton.
