SOA needs portfolio management

Forrester Research is working to raise awareness of the basic need to know what services a business has before it begins a project, states Search SOA.

Service portfolio management is a key topic in at new 22-page report from Forrester analysts, "Defining SOA Service Life Cycle Management" by Larry Fulton, with Randy Heffner, Catherine Salzinger and Katie Smillie.

Service portfolio management is one of three sub-lifecycles that compose the overall service-oriented architecture (SOA) life cycle in the Forrester view.

TnT launches SOA

TnT Expense Management, a provider of telecom expense management services, has launched an SOA, says Earth Times.

TnT Expense Management maintains in-depth information about clients' IT and telecom assets with its Telebase system, and the new SOA allows secure access and synchronisation with any application.

The SOA launched by TnT Expense Management will enable clients to access a detailed inventory of devices, company spend and carrier rate information in real-time and from any application or platform that they run internally.
